Mahakumbh tragedy is a conspiracy and sabotage, says Dr Geeta Rani

Varanasi: The national vice president, Vishva Hindu Mahasangh and head of the Matri Shakti Prakoshth, Dr Geeta Rani has expressed grave concerns regarding the tragic incident that occurred during the Mahakumbh Mela. According to Dr Rani, the tragedy is likely part of a deliberate conspiracy aimed at disrupting the event and tarnishing the image of the Uttar Pradesh government, particularly Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Mahakumbh has garnered international attention for its impeccable management and safe arrangements, making it a symbol of India’s rich cultural, religious, and spiritual heritage. Dr Rani emphasized that the event has not only brought together millions of devotees but also positioned the Mahakumbh as a global ambassador of Sanatan Dharma. However, this success seems to have triggered discomfort among political opponents, particularly those who have been vocal in their opposition to the efforts of the Modi and Yogi governments.

Dr Rani further stated that the tragic stampede that took place in the early hours of the 29th of January could very well have been part of a pre-planned conspiracy orchestrated by anti-government elements. Eyewitness accounts shared by several devotees on news channels, YouTube, and social media platforms suggest that a group of young men, waving political banners and shouting slogans, caused chaos by pushing and shoving their way through the crowd. Some witnesses reported that a group carrying red flags broke through the barricades, advancing forward while pushing back the devotees behind them.

She pointed out that the events leading to the stampede raise suspicions of deliberate sabotage aimed at creating panic and chaos at the Mahakumbh. She believes that this was a calculated move by anti-government forces to defame the Yogi government and disrupt the smooth conduct of the Kumbh Mela, which has always been a symbol of faith, unity, and discipline.

The statement from Dr Geeta Rani highlights the need for further investigation into the incident and calls on authorities to ensure that such conspiratorial actions are thoroughly examined to prevent any future occurrences. She also emphasized the resilience of the Mahakumbh and the unwavering faith of the devotees, stressing that no matter the challenges, the spirit of the Mela and the legacy of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage will remain unshaken.
