Tibet’s total freedom is essential for India’s security: Saurabh Saraswat

Itanagar: The Tibet Core Group India meeting, chaired by former Member of Parliament, Mr RK Khirme, concluded successfully with representatives from various states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Sikkim in attendance. The meeting, aimed at furthering the cause of Tibet’s independence and raising awareness across the nation, saw significant participation from key members including Saurabh Saraswat, the Regional Coordinator from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
In his address, Saurabh Saraswat outlined the main objectives of the meeting, emphasizing a collective plan to expedite the Tibet movement across the country and enhance coordination among organizations working for the cause of Tibet. He highlighted the extensive discussions held on a year-long program of events aimed at promoting Tibet’s liberation, as well as a national conference to be held later this year. The meeting also focused on the ongoing atrocities and human rights violations faced by Tibetans under Chinese rule, as well as the environmental and cultural degradation in Tibet.
A key resolution passed at the meeting was to intensify efforts to raise public awareness across India regarding the urgent need for a free Tibet and a secure India. Several large-scale programs will be organized to further this cause. Mr RK Khirme, while addressing the gathering, strongly stated, “In today’s world, no country should remain enslaved. The exploitation of Tibetans by the Chinese army must end immediately. The protection of Tibet’s environment and culture is of utmost importance.”
Prominent attendees at the meeting included Surendra Kumar, Sanjay Shukla, Arvind Nikose, Sudesh Chandravanshi, JP Arsh, Sandesh Meshram, Amit Jyotikar, and S Advan, all of whom played a key role in deliberations surrounding the future course of action for Tibet’s cause.
This meeting not only reiterated the commitment to Tibet’s freedom but also solidified the belief that Tibet’s struggle is not just for its own people but for India’s security as well, recognizing Tibet’s strategic importance. The core group is determined to bring greater focus and momentum to the cause, ensuring that Tibet’s voice is heard and its plight addressed on the global stage.
