Srinagar, Sep 15 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav on Sunday said that BJP will create history in the upcoming assembly polls.
“The election will be historical and BJP will also make history in these elections”, Madhav said while addressing the party stakeholders and functionaries in an organisational meeting here.
He said earlier BJP was considered an outside party in Jammu and Kashmir. But in 2014 the BJP broke that myth. “BJP was never an outside party, it is equally the owner of Jammu and Kashmir and was in government also”, he asserted.
Madhav said BJP was in alliance with the government in 2014 and had completely removed he narrative that it would never come to power in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We have to break another myth that in 2024 the people of Kashmir valley will not support the BJP and that has to be broken”, he said.
Madhav said the 60,000 people of Jammu and Kashmir have forgotten Article 370 as it has become history now. The people have lived in a peaceful atmosphere during the past five years in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Srinagar on September 19 to address a public rally.
