Number of new Covid cases in Russia 38.4 pc up in past week

Moscow, Nov 21: (UNI) The number of new coronavirus infection cases has grown by 38.4% in Russia over the past week, the federal COVID-19 response center told reporters on Tuesday.
“The incidence of the new coronavirus infection reached 41 persons per 100,000 and increased by 38.4% compared to last week. The rise in new cases was registered in 82 Russian regions, including 26 regions with more than the national average,” the center’s statement said.
A total of 6,398 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past week, which is up 16.9% from the previous week, the response center said.
At the same time, 32.5% more people recovered over the past week, and the total number of recoveries was 39,731. The response center added that 93 persons died during the past week.
