Akhnoor, Mar 28: The fourth day of Refresher Course of Zone Akhnoor and Zone Chowki Choura marked by series of training programs in the sports discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Athletics, Softball, March Past and Yoga Asana at Govt. High School, Devipur.
Principal GHSS, Sohal Dr. Madhu Sharma was the chief guest and Headmaster GHS, Devipur Sh Som Nath was the guest of honor on the programme.
Chief guest appreciated the efforts of the YS&S Dept for conducting such types of courses and hoped that this course surely must have added to the knowledge of physical staff and they will pass on these techniques to the school children in their respective schools.
The Programme is being organized under the chairmanship of District Youth Services & Sports Office, Jammu Sh Sukhdev Raj Sharma and overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Akhnoor Sh Ashok Kumar and Zonal Physical Education Officer, Chowki Choura Smt. Nirmal Kumari in which as many as 80 physical education staff of Zone Akhnoor and Zone Chowki Choura participated.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, ZPEO Akhnoor said that refresher courses provide the much-needed opportunity to the teachers to enhance their knowledge base and become better in their fields by interacting with resource persons and experts specializing in various Sports Discipline. ZPEO Chowki Choura added, the main aim of this refresher course was to provide knowledge about new rules and regulations of different games and to promote physical fitness along with all components of physical education & Sports, techniques and skills among the participants.
Prominent among the others were Sh Ramesh Chandar, Sh Ashnak Raj Sharma, Sh Kali Dass, Sh Sanjeev Kumar, Sh Jagdish Raj Sharma, Sh Vijay Tangra, Sh Vikram Jamwal, Sh Sukesh Sharma, Sh Ankit , Sh Pardeep Sharma, Smt Rita Sharma, Smt Sujata Kumari and other field staff of Zone Akhnoor and Zone Chowki Choura.
