Geology & Mining Department is very soft towards mining mafias
It is time to act!
- The department has been receiving numerous complaints from several persons but the action is still missing on the ground.
- The Director must pull the strings of the concerned officers for not taking action against the mining mafias.

Jammu, Jul 24: Why is the Geology & Mining Department so callous towards complaints lodged against the mafia for illegally extracting minor mineral from Block No 44, district Jammu? Why the complaints of one of the Lease Holders Sahil Choudhary have not been properly considered and action not taken accordingly? Why the Geology & Mining Department is silent over such serious concerns? Who will take action against the mineral mafia? These are very serious concerns and the department must consider these issues seriously.
A complainant namely Sahil Choudhary has filed a very serious complaint against 17 crushers which are illegally extracting the Minor Minerals from the Bajalta area of Jammu district Block 44. These illegal crushers are operating during the night hours and causing loss to the state exchequer and also creating risk for the people of Jammu, besides they are also causing to lease Holder of Block 44.
The illegally operating crushers and with the areas are as- Harman Stone Crusher – Bajalta; Public Stine Crusher- Bajatla; Khatana Stone Crusher-Bajalta; Northern Stone Crusher-Bajalta; T.R.B. Stone Crusher-Tuti Khui; Surya Stone Crusher-Tuti Khui; Motel Stone Crusher-Panj Garai; Tawi Stone Crusher-Chouadhi; Friends Stone Crusher-Pata; Radhey Krisahna Stone Crusher- Jagti; Sharma Stone Crusher-Sidhra; Jupiter Stone Crisher-Bajalta; Taj Stone Crusher-Bajalta; Chaman Stone Crusher-Sidhra; T.B.A. Stone Crusher-Chadgal; and Charak Stone Crusher. These are the crushers operating illegally and wreaking loss to state exchequer and also posing threat for the locality as they do not adopt rules and norms during extraction.
The Geology & Mining Department has opted criminal silence over these complaints and indirectly providing the opportunities to these mineral mafia for illegally extraction if minor mineral, which is very dangerous for the locality.
The Geology & Mining Department must consider the complaints seriously and take action the mining mafia to save the state exchequer and people of the locality.
