2 militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 11: Security forces on Monday shot dead two militants at Awantipore in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The fighting took place in Wandakpora area during a cordon and a search operation.
“As the security forces cordoned the suspected spot, the hidden terrorists opened fire, triggering a gunfight,” an official said. “In the gunfight, two terrorists have been killed.”
Police said the operation was in progress.
Earlier, police said a top Jaish-e-Mohammad militant was trapped in Awantipora. He was identified Kaiser Koka, who has been active since 2018, Additional Director General of Police Vijay Kumar said.UNI
