Jammu, June 21: The sitting Director General of Police Dilbag Singh IPS is one of the most skilled police officers who has handled the situation post abrogation of Article 370 & 35A and remained successful as every situation in J&K UT was under control.
It is an open secret to everyone that Jammu & Kashmir is reeling under terrorism for last so many years and the police has to play multiple roles to control the situation at every level. The police department is the only department which controls the militancy activities in J&K but after the abrogation of 370 & 35 A was a very tough situation and the same has been handled by the DGP Dilbag Singh.
It is pertinent to mention that the Jammu & Kashmir has seen many ups and down in past but in 2019, it was very new, which was never thought by the people of the then erstwhile state and on August 05, 2019 a great but inevitable change was made when the state was bifurcated into two Union territories and Article 370 & 35 A was abrogated. The then situation was like volatile situation and everybody was seemed to be worried about the situation about the violence in Jammu & Kashmir but the vision and wise approach of the sitting Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has handled the situation skilfully and taken out the J&K out of the critical period safe and sound.
Dilbag Singh is very humble officer who cares for his entire force. He is among few officers who remain in touch with the constables and their families. He has taken many measures for the welfare of those families whose members have attained martyrdom by making supreme sacrifices of their lives for the cause of country. He personally monitors all the welfare schemes.
