- 40 days have passed but the SDM Jammu North has openly mocked at the RTI Act and cock a snook at the Lt Governor’s administration, which is matter of concern.
- There is big scandal in the distribution of compensation to the affected owners whose land has been acquired and the matter should be handed over to CBI.
- Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is working day and night to put the system on right track but SDM Jammu North has his own plan.
- Some PWD officers are also involved in this big scandal and hence the case is fit for to handover to CBI.

Jammu, Jan 17: Why SDM Jammu North is so stubborn that he openly disgraces the RTI Act of India that too during the President rule? Why the SDM Jammu North openly challenges the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and his honest efforts to bring transparency in the system? Why the SDM Jammu North hates transparency? Why SDM Jammu North wants to hide the fact by misusing his official position? Why SDM Jammu North has tried to provide cover-up on the wrong payments made during the acquisition of land under his jurisdiction? Why SDM Jammu North is silent over that for a structure twice payment has been made? These are some tough but credible question posed for SDM Jammu North who is popularly known for the violations in the department and who know having a new credential of hating the transparency in the department.
On 08-12-2021 an applicant has filed a RTI under the proper receipt of his office and vide receipt No 1025. The applicant has sought the information about detailed list of compensation paid to various people affected whose land was acquired for Jammu-Akhnoor four way road project in his jurisdiction. He also sought information about detailed information that how much private and state land was acquired for the mention project and details of the compensation paid to each. The applicant also sought the bifurcated information of the measurements of land acquired its exact Khasra No, Khewat No and Khata No, besides qism of land and measurement of structure affected if any, against which the compensation was paid to people affected whose land was acquired. The applicant sought the information about that how many complaints have been received by the office of SDM Jammu North regarding the wrong assessment and wrong payment paid to some individuals regarding the mentioned road project, besides what action has been taken against the erring persons. He also sought the information about the recovery of wrong compensation/payment made to non-deserving persons.
But the SDM Jammu North since 08-12-2021, 40 days have been passed but he is unmoved and he silently mocking at the system and cocking a snook at the Lt Governor’s administration. The SDM Jammu North has a notion that he running his own kingdom and the J&K administration has no reach to him. He often undermines the office of DC Jammu and in one case he even attempted to mislead the office of Lt Governor, which is the top office of J&K administration.
It is pertinent to mention that National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has taken a project of construction of four-lane road from Jammu to Akhnoor and the concerned SDM has to acquire the land against the payment. The SDM Jammu North has played a role in acquiring the land but his role remained unfair.
