Media in present scenario

In the present socio-political scenario of the country it is not difficult now to say that most of the media is not partial. This is not being said because of any prejudice but this statement is completely based upon the stories and visuals of the ministers and leaders of the ruling party, being carried out by the state media in its bulletins of the day from morning to late night. Even many stories of the ministers including the Prime Minister are repeated several times. Not only this, many stories of the Prime Minister are carried out several days before the day of the actual event to be organized. Besides, there are several stories which are known as ‘Table Stories’ for being created on the table by loyal editors and reporters  just to please the boss and maybe sometimes there is pressure from the  top or other sources. There are many stories, which are incorporated in the bulletins which are mostly irrelevant and even have no date or time line. Some news stories look like a tale being presented in the news bulletin only because this must be projected. Likewise there are stories related to the distribution of relief among the needy and poor people. Such stories are carried along with visuals and even sometimes with a photo. Interestingly the visuals and photos expose the hollowness of the story and is nothing less than a shameful act. Similarly there are several stories which are regularly carried out by the state are like a publicity pamphlet released by the leader himself or by any loyal to him and sometimes looks like a paid story, the mode of payment in such cases is not cash always, it can be pro motion or posting of choice or in some other kind. There is hardly any story nowadays on state media which is related to the problems of the public or a story raising public issues or any story questioning the policies of the present government. Problems of the public, miseries of the masses, issues related to basic facilities are now having become irrelevant for the state media. The state media is now used for making people believe that there is ‘nothing wrong’. People sitting on the chairs of state media are now behaving like robots or a machine which has to follow the line for which it has been programmed. The people handling the affairs of state media today cannot take any decision on their own. Going through this situation one is fully convinced that state media is not partial. This partial behavior of the government media and of some private houses is not doing any good for the nation as well as for the government.
