Samba is witnessing illegal feling of Khair trees after Jammu & Kathua 

Season of illegal felling in Jammu Forest! 

  • The sitting officers at the level of Jammu province & J&K UT are very callous and unable to arrest the illegal felling of Khair trees, so it is dire need to reshuffle them immediately.

Jammu, Dec 02: The condition and situation of Forest especially of Jammu province is like an ice-cream which is reducing with each passing day and the everyday we hear about the illegal felling of Khair and other trees everywhere in the Jammu province as the department is not in safe hands, because both the officers incharge of Jammu Province are not capable to save the forest from the felling.
The issue of illegal felling of Khair trees is not going to stop and in every division of Jammu province the illegal felling in connivance with the officers of Forest department is in steep and green golden is being destroyed with a systematic plan. The timber smugglers are active as they have support from inside the Forest department against bribe.
The another case of illegal felling of Khair trees that too from the Forest land, the timber smugglers have chopped of many trees which are seen in the pics. Several Khair trees have been felled by the timber smuggler that too with the help of Forest officer.
The felling has been noticed in compartment 39, Beat Deon, Block-Devak, Range Purmandal, Division Samba and Divisional Forest Officer Som Dutt Khajuria is unmoved over it. The Green Gold is being destroyed and DFO Samba watching it.
The Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu & Kashmir and Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu both are having nothing with this illegal felling otherwise no one can chop the Kahir trees, which are known as Green Gold.
