Former lawmaker and NC leader joins PDP in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 8: Former National Conference (NC) lawmaker Abdul Majid Mir joined People Democratic Party (PDP) here on Monday.
Welcoming Mir to her party, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti termed it a daring decision and said “joining PDP is like touching a high voltage live power wire”.
Advocate Majid was welcomed into the party by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and other senior party leaders during a function in Srinagar.
Mehbooba hoped that joining Mir to the party fold would provide a boost strengthening it at the grassroots. UNI
