J&K reports 4 Covid deaths, 98 new cases

Srinagar, Nov 1: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday witnessed four deaths due to the coronavirus pandaemic as it reported 98 new cases, an official said.
He said: “Four people died due to the Covid infection in Kashmir Valley alone today.”
Out of the 98 fresh infections, 84 were reported from Kashmir valley and 14 from the Jammu division, taking the total number of Covid cases to 3,32,347 in the union territory so far. Of the total 899 active cases, 98 are in the Jammu division and 801 in the valley.
In the past 24 hours, 97 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, including 80 from Jammu division and 17 from the valley, the spokesman said.
He said no new case of Mucormycosis have been reported from any part of the UT on Monday.
He said a total of 81,657 doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across Jammu and Kashmir to 1,47,15,244.
The spokesman said of the 4,436 deaths so fat — 2,176 were in Jammu division and 2,260 in Kashmir. UNI
