BJP councillors eyeing on CAPEX fund Rs 6.5 crore!

Akhnoor, Oct 21: Some councillors of MC Akhnoor has tried to distort the no-confidence motion moved by eight members yesterday in a mysterious and unlawful ways, which has created constitutional crisis in the MC Akhnnor and now the ball must be thrown in the Court of Deputy Commissioner Jammu to solve the issue.
Yesterday, eight members have signed on the ‘No Confidence Motion’ and submitted the same to the office of MC president vide under proper receipt and the copy has been given to EO but in the intervening night some money miracle has worked and two members vomited and changed their position and came in the support of the sitting president. One member Baldev Raj who was leading the No Confidence Motion has taken complete U-turn over this issue and proved that he has not stand in his life.
Today a letter has been signed by the seven councilors of the Municipal Committee, Akhnoor, in which they expressed full confidence in sitting president Surinder Sharma and vice-president Amita Gupta and opposed the no-confidence motion. Seven out of 13 elected members today submitted their dissent on the no-confidence motion to the Executive Officer, Akhnoor. At the same time, in the late evening, on the directions of the President, a meeting was called by the EO to discuss the no-confidence motion, in which the chairman himself was absent, due to which the meeting remained inconclusive.
Interestingly, Baldev Raj Councilor Ward No 4, who was leading the team moving the no-confidence motion yesterday, was today with the team that had reposed faith in the President and the Vice President. Why Baldev Raj changed the team is still a mystery for all of us, whereas yesterday, he made serious allegations against the President and Vice President in regard of development of old Akhnoor city. The members presenting today’s dissent said that the sitting President and Vice President are doing their best to develop the city, so they stand behind the prevailing regime.
The councilors who signed the dissent today against the no-confidence motion are President Surinder Sharma No. 9, Vice President Amita Gupta No. 2, Baldev Raj No. 4, Sanjay Saraf No. 7, Khema Devi No. 8, Kuldeep Raj No. 12, Kuldeep Kumar No. 13.
