Civilians killing, an attempt to disturb peace, create fear in J&K: Sushil

Patna, Oct 19: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar

Modi on Monday alleged that killings of civilians was an attempt to disturb peace and create fear in Jammu and Kashmir.

While talking to media persons, Mr Modi said that the terrorist were engineering such killings in sheer frustration following restoration of peace in J&K post abrogation of Article 370.

Mr Modi also spoke with J&K LG Manoj Sinha over the safety of non-Kashmiri labourers working there.

Replying to a query regarding the ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the victim by the Bihar government, Mr Modi said he talked to LG Sinha and maintain that Rs 11 lakh will be given to the victims.

Speaking about the targetted killing, he said it seems that the terrorists were frustrated and were attacking the innocent labourers from UP, Bihar and Kashmiri Hindus.

Mr Modi said that nearly 3 to 4 lakh Biharis were working in Kashmir and the terrorists were trying to create fear in the society so that the migrants return from there.

Describing Kashmir as a sensitive topic he said that the terrorists need to be identified and neutralised. UNI
