Pakistan reports 1,490 new COVID-19 cases

Islamabad, Oct 4: Pakistan on Monday reported 1,490 new COVID-19 cases and 27 more deaths, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said.
The NCOC said the country’s number of overall confirmed cases had risen to 1,251,348, including 1,177,249 who have recovered.
The number of active cases has dropped to 46,206 who are under treatment across the country, while 3,407 are in critical condition.
According to the NCOC, the pandemic killed 27 people on Sunday, increasing the death toll to 27,893.
Pakistan’s southern Sindh province is the most affected region of the country with 460,111 infections followed by eastern Punjab province which has reported 433,286 infections. UNI
