124 fresh Covid cases in J&K, one death in Jammu

Srinagar, Oct 2: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 124 new COVID positive cases during the past 24 hours, officials said.
One corona patient died in Jammu today, officials told UNI.
They said this evening that 124 new positive cases have been reported– 32 from Jammu Division and 92 from Kashmir Division—during the past 24 hours.
No new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported, they added. The last 24 hours saw a total of 49,801 COVID tests being conducted. Total no of active positive cases within the UT are 1294 cases– 293 in Jammu Division and 1001 in Kashmir Division, they said.
There was no COVID positive case in Kulgam and Shopian, officials said.
However, Srinagar continued to record highest number of corona positive cases in the Jammu and Kashmir, they said.
In Srinagar the number of positive cases was 52, followed by nine cases in Baramulla and Badgam, six each in Ganderbal and Anantnag, Bandipora four and three each in Pulwama and Kupwara. UNI
