Jammu, Oct 01: Taking serious note over the complaint lodges by the local residents regarding opening of ‘History Sheet’ of one notorious criminal, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range has issued orders to open history sheet of a notorious criminal Noor Mohd son of Saif Ali resident of village Chowadhi Jammu but incharge of concerned Police Post and the Police Station where FIRs have been registered against him, failed to move an inch in this concern, whereas it has been noticed that they are trying to shield the accused person.
It is pertinent to mention that the DIG JKS Range vide his letter No CB/2021/7140 dated 09-08-2021 had advised the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu for considering the public complaints after going through the complaint and then open the history sheet of notorious criminal Noor Mohd son of Saif Ali resident of village Chowadhi Jammu.
Taking the cognizance of the DIG office directions, the SSP Jammu vide his letter no. 18917 dated 14/08/2021 had directed all SHOs of Jammu district, SP City South Jammu and SDPO East Jammu for convey if there is any criminal case/complaint registered against Noor Ali. It is an open secret that there are already three FIRs registered against Noor Ali at Police Station Channi, FIR no. 07/2019 U/S 341, 323, 147, 148, 149, 136 RPC 3/25, 4/25 A. Act; FIR no. 45/2015 U/S 341, 323 RPC; and FIR No 35/2020 U/S 501, 336, 353, 447 IPC”. The sequences of the case and circumstances revealing that the Incharge Police Post Sainik Colony and SHO Channi are making deliberate delay in responding to orders issued by their senior officers, which is matter of concern.
Not only this, the Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu on 14/06/2021 had already asked SDPO East Jammu to take action against Noor Mohd and the SPDO East Jammu has directed his subordinate for not taking concrete actions against the accused person, despite repeated communications. Whereas, he had sought explanation from the incharge Police Post Sainik Colony Jammu.
The letter of SDPO East Jammu to I/C PP Sainik Colony Jammu vide his letter No 18918-191/SDCEJ dated 14-08-2021 speaks as “In this connection, more than 02 months, nothing has been heard from your end. As such, you are once again directed to look into the matter personally and furnish detail factual report to this office by tomorrow repeat by tomorrow positively for further submission to higher up and also explain cause of delay. Matter most urgent”. The copy of the same letter sent to SSP Jammu for favour and kind information. Let may sense prevail on the officers who are creating impediments for complying the orders from their seniors.
