Other tehsildars must take lesson from him
Rohit Sharma retrieves several hundreds kanal of encroached land within a 1 year
*It is a matter of surprise that within a period of one year Dr Rohit Sharma Tehsildar Bahu Tehsil has achieved the purpose of his position, whereas other failed to do so.
*He has set a trend of honesty and dedication and other should follow him.
*DC Jammu and Principal Secretary Revenue are in his support so that retrieval process may not hamper.

‘Where there is will, there is a way’- this old saying is meant for Tehsildar Bahu Tehsil Dr Rohit Sharma as he is the man who has done tremendous job in retrieving the land from the encroachers, which was a challenging job and he accepted the challenge and vacated hundreds of kanal land.
The single Tehsildar of Tehsil Bahu with his firmness and his will power has done very difficult job, which was supposed to be very problematic and typical. The man single handily but with the direct support of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg IAS and Principal Secretary Revenue Shalin Kabra IAS has achieved the purpose of his post. Encroachment of land is very common in jammu & Kashmir and the encroachers are so shrewd that they use every influence to arrest the retrieval process so that the land may not go out from their hands. But one Tehsildar Dr Rohit Sharma has silently worked and yielded the result, which is itself a surprise for everyone and especially surprise for the Revenue department.
Today, Dr Rohit Sharma has retrieved the state land measuring 38 kanals and 05 marlas in village Chowadhi worth of crores of rupees, which was earlier transferred to beneficiaries under Roshni Act. The retrieval process of Dr Rohit Sharma has been appreciated by one and all from the civil society and by entire Revenue Department too. It has become the talk of town that if Dr Rohit Sharma alone can retrieve the land from the encroachers and then why cannot other tehsildars who are enjoying same status, same power, same authority, same perks and same employees but others do not have such will power, such dedications, such nationalism, such honesty and such excitement to deliver for the sake of people and country.
Setting an example for the others, he has retrieved 166 kanals of land in one go from Chowadi falling under Khasra No 1049, which is itself a big achievement by an officer. There is a long list of retrieval of land from the possession of encroachers during his one year period of as Tehsildar Bahu. In another achievement, he retrieved 25 kanal of state land under Khasra No 1145 from Chowdi and handed over to Animal Husbandry department. While in another successful bid, he got 11 kanal of land falling under Khasra No 773 and 775 vacated from the encroachers and proposed for office of tehsil Bahu.
Whereas 4 kanal of land falling under Khasra No 800 and 801 retrieved from the encroachers, whereas 15 kanla land falling under Khasra No 1097 retrieved and specified for the office of IG Registration. Five kanal of land falling under Khasra No 425 and 426 has been retrieved and handed over to Social Welfare Department for Specially Disabled children.
The big thing is that he got the demarcation of JDA land comprising of 2000 kanal, which was pending for so many years and no one was initiating the process for years together but Dr Rohit Sharma has taken the challenge and do the job.
Now the issue is, if one Tehsildar can retrieve such huge quantity of land from the encroachers then why not the other Tehsildars. This is lesson for other tehsildar and ample opportunity for them to have introspection about their performances, honesty and will power.
