Illegal felling of Khair trees is going on, Forest officers are worthless
*The Forest department is becoming worthless as a great nexus has gripped it.
*The smugglers are so heavy on the senior officers that they seemed to be helpless to control it, the reason better known to them.

The issue of illegal felling in the Forest department is not going to stop especially under the jurisdiction of Divisional Forest officer Jammu as from every corner the reports of illegal felling of Khair trees was the motto of some forest officers.
The Jammu Jottings is continuously reporting the issue of illegal felling of Khair trees but the department and the government is very callous about it. No doubt, they have suspended the Divisional Forest Officer Jammu under whose nose all illegalities were going on.
Today I am coming up with a story of illegal felling of Khair tress in Bhatti Badigarh under Mansar Forest Range, where they were permitted to cut 110 trees but with the hand-in-glove with Forest Officers they have felled more than 450 trees as it has been alleged in a complaint lodged with all the senior Forest officers including DFO Jammu, Conservator, Chief Conservator Forest Jammu, Principal Chief Conservator Forest Jammu and Principal Chief Conservator Forest J&K, besides Commissioner/Secretary Forest department.
The complainant openly alleged that they have felled the Khair trees more than they were granted permission and this has been done in connivance with the Forest Officers but it is still untraceable that who are the senior officers of Forest which are running the illegal felling nexus in Jammu.
The compliant Rohit Mahajan alleged that there is big scandal and it should be investigated but the all the concerning senior Forest officers are opting criminal silence over this complaint.
