9th February, Jammu: G.S Sports Club in collaboration with Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School and Traffic police Jammu today organized the 32nd Road Safety month at Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar by giving a message to Society “Follow all Traffic Rules & drive safely in its auditorium hall in which Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma S.S.P Traffic, Jammu was the Chief Guest & Mrs. Esha Chib ARTO(BOI) Passenger Jammu was the Guest of honor. The motive of the Event was to Aware the society to stay physically fit, Follow Traffic Rules & drive safely. Besides various students who participated in this event were rewarded by Certificates & medals.
President Mr. Atul Sudan addressing the gathered students appreciated the role of the students and gave a strong message to students to adopt any sport for their physical strength. He said around 1.5 lakh people lose their precious lives in road accidents every year. He encouraged students to be part of this awareness drive and should make our society aware about road safety and traffic rules.
Guest of Honor, Mrs. Esha Chib ARTO BOI (Passengers ) Jammu in his address told the students of the school regarding various kinds of traffic rules, various traffic sign boards and about traffic violations and their fines. He asked students to follow complete rules and regulations while driving. He also briefed about the procedure for getting a driving license. He told the gathering about various measures taken by the transport department to curb the traffic accidents.
Chief Guest Sh. Shiv kumar sharma speaking on the occasion congratulated G.S Sports Club and its team for organizing such events. Addressing the gathering, he said students play an important role in nation building hence it is very crucial to educate them first regarding the road safety and traffic rules. He said students should today take a lesson from here and should pass the gathered knowledge to their parents and guardians at home regarding traffic violations and regulations. He further told students about the importance of sports in one’s life. He motivated the students to continue their hard work in the sports also so that they can participate in Nationals, Internationals and make our state and Nation proud.
Director Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School Sh. Rakshan Mengi, who also presided over the function, urged the students to stay physically fit, work hard to pursue their aims and play an important role in nation building.
Concluding the function, G.S Sports Club Chairman Er. Sushant Gupta administered an oath to students that they will not drive a vehicle until they turn 18-year-old and they will always wear a seat belt while driving a car and also insist their parents and elders to wear a helmet and seatbelt while driving and also not to violate traffic rules & thanked all the Guests for their commitment to serve in society. The others who were present during function Kr.
