Jammu and Kashmir: Newly elected members will know how DDC is working in other states
After the first District Development Council elections held in Jammu and Kashmir, now the exercise of training of newly elected members has also started. Currently, the process of election for the post of president and vice-president is going on. According to sources, the reservation roster for the post of president will be applicable at the district level next week. After this, study tours of DDC members will be conducted. The BJP has prepared a study tour proposal to get the District Development Councils functioning in Gujarat and Karnataka. At the same time, the state government is also brainstorming to conduct a study tour in DDC’s well performing states. During the study tour, elected members will also undergo training by watching the functioning of DDC closely. BJP state president Ravindra Raina says that for the district development council members of the state, the BJP is going to make a schedule of training program at its own level. Training will be done at party headquarters and district level. Apart from this, a proposal has also been made by the party to conduct study tours of newly elected members in the BJP ruled states of Gujarat, Karnataka etc. DDC institutions are functioning effectively in these states. At the same time, official sources said that the government will issue notification of the election of president and vice-president for the reservation roster and district development councils next week. A proposal has been sent to the Lieutenant Governor to send the elected members to such states in which the District Development Councils are doing remarkable work. As soon as the approval from the Lieutenant Governor, the process of implementation will be started.
