One Soldier Escaped but Was Re-Arrested

Rajouri, November 8: Two Indian Army personnel posted along the Line of Control (LoC) somewhere in Rajouri district have been arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan.
According to sources, both soldiers deployed at a forward post, were allegedly passing sensitive information to Pakistan’s Army and intelligence agency, the ISI, through Instagram and other social media platforms.
It is reported that the soldiers had been leaking crucial operational details about Indian Army activities. Two days ago, a special team, reportedly of a central intelligence agency, from Delhi took them into custody for interrogation and are being jointly interrogated by the Army and central agency.
Sources revealed that one of the arrested soldiers managed to escape from custody on Saturday morning, but security forces immediately launched a massive search operation.
Multiple checkpoints were set up along the Rajouri–Jammu–Poonch highway, and the escaped soldier was recaptured near Siot-Sunderbani during a special police checkpoint and handed back to the Army.
No official statement has been issued in this connection either by Army or police.
Sources said the bank accounts of both arrested soldiers have also been seized for investigation to determine whether the Pakistani Army or ISI had transferred any money to them.
