Delay gave time to damage evidence!
- The issue is that what makes CBI to act so late that the accused persons got sufficient time to damage the evidences, which is much worried and will remain ineffective.
- No any official from JKSSB and Merit Trac has been arrested or charge sheeted so far, whereas, without their involvement was not possible to leak the paper.
- The delay by the CBI in taking action has given sufficient time to destroy evidence, which is hurdle in digging truth out.

Jammu, Feb 03: The Central Bureau of Investigation has conducted much delayed searches around at different 37 locations in 6 Districts of J&K including in Jammu, Doda, Reasi, Rajouri, Samba & Udhampur at the premises of accused & others including touts, personnel of J&K Forest Department/ CRPF/ Indian Air Force, etc. in an ongoing investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in the written examination of Accounts Assistant in the Finance (FAA). The said examination was conducted by J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB).
The delay in conducting raids at different places has become blessings for the accused as one of the accused has already left the country and after him his associate also left eh country, which is the result of delayed raids and action by the CBI. The CBI is the Indian premier investigating agency and its credentials are best but the delay is benefitting the accused persons who are involved in the paper leak case.
It is pertinent to mention that CBI registered a case on 28.11.2022 on the request of J&K Government to investigate the allegations of irregularities in written examination conducted by J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on 06.03.2022 for recruitment of Accounts Assistant Finance (FAA). The results were declared on 21.04.2022. Earlier, the Government of J&K had constituted an Inquiry Committee to look into allegations of malpractices in the said examination. It was alleged in report of the Committee that a conspiracy was hatched amongst officials of JKSSB; a private company based at Bengaluru; beneficiary candidates & others which caused gross irregularities in conduct of written examination for the posts of Accounts Assistant Finance Department. It was further alleged that there were abnormally high percentage of selected candidates from the districts of Jammu, Kathua & Reasi. It also found the alleged violation of rules by JKSSB in as much as task of setting question paper was assigned to a private company of Bengaluru.
So much of delay is the reason that cash recovery in the matter is negligible. Cash is most important weapon in this case as it is not possible that just for few lakhs so large number of people were involved. Even the enquiry committee report suggests scam of crores.
No any official from JKSSB and Merit Trac have been arrested or charge sheeted so far and without involvement of these it is no where possible that a labourer has the courage, wisdom and purpose to take out paper from press and then planned to leak it for earning money.
No any aspirant who was willingly part of the scam and also played the effective role of tout was charged sheeted or debarred from taking exam in future, which clearly indicated that the effectiveness of investigation by CBI must be improved otherwise it would be mere eye-wash and all accused were allowed to sit in JKPSI re-exam.
As we have mentioned in the initial stage before the CBI initiated an inquiry that one of the main accused have left the country. Sources claim that the time taken by CBI has given a chance to more such people to escape who were involved.
