Jammu, Nov 06: The Chowki officer of a police post located on the Jammu-Srinagar highway has built Aishgah for himself in the area at present. At a distance of about two and a half kilometers from his post, he has given a free hand to the shopkeepers against the bribe.
The reports said that the shopkeepers have been allowed to sell the liquor illegally in their shops and in return, the shopkeepers bribe to Chowki Officer every month. The Chowki officer neither deploys police personnel in that area nor takes any action on any complaint coming from that area. Apart from this, this chowki officer has also developed lot of settings from the mining people who have been indulged in illegal mining. It is allegedly reported that the concern chowki officer gets about two lakh rupees per month from this work. Apart from this, there are oil depots in the area. There is a lot of black marketing of oil here and they also bribe the chowki officer.
According to the information, there is a famous area under the jurisdiction of his police post, which is very famous these days for drinking alcohol. The reports further said that there is a big religious place nearby and for that liquor is banned there. This is thew reason that people from far and wide come to this Ashgah to enjoy with liquor and several food shops are also available in the area. The people often seen openly consuming liquor in the said shops. In such a situation, the chowki officer has made this area a complete enjoyment place. People from far and wide come to the place to worship but he has created aishgah for the drinkers and smokers. Due to the big religious place, there is a ban on liquor. In such situation, there is a lot of crowd in this Ashgah.
It is pertinent to mention that the said Chowki Officer was recruited as constable at first and later he was recruited as Sub Inspector. He was then posted in district police and later on he was posted as Chowki Officer on the National Highway Police Post. The reports further said that then he started his bribe-game and called all those persons who were linked with black-marketing of oil and ration. He made a deal with them and allowed them to go for black-marketing of oil and ration.
He not stopped here and he than turned towards the illegal mining. He witnessed that lot of mining vehicles have been passing through the jurisdiction of his police post. He than made a deal with the person who are engaged with illegal mining and the monthly bribe has been fixed. After which he gave complete freedom to the vehicles to move. After this, he caught the scrap-dealers of the area and fixed the bribe per month with them. His next target was vehicles carrying cattle illegally and he pounced on them in result he too trapped them in his bribe-net and fixed the bribe per vehicle.
