- The Financial Commissioner Revenue Shaleen Kabra has issued very strict directions to the revenue officers to vacate all sort of land which has been illegally occupied by the people.
- The entire operation was carried out under the wise supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa IAS and ADC Jammu LO Harvinder Singh IAS.

Jammu, Oct 20: The Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma is on active mode and got more than 1600 kanal evacuated and got 2500 kanal JDA land demarcated within very less time whereas other Tehsildars of Jammu district are on silent mode in this connection.
Today, Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma has made a surgical strike on those persons who are illegally occupying state land measuring 12 kanal infront of office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu and get the land vacated. The said land is prime land in Jammu city and its value crosses crores of rupees presently but in past no one dare to get the land vacated from the illegal possession of the people as it is just near to Divisional Commissioner Jammu which is the top office of Jammu province. The 12 kanal state land comprises in different Khasra No 55, 56, 57, 58 and 59.
The illegal occupants had applied to get the land allotted on their name as per L-B6, which is meant for only agriculture land, whereas it is not for the commercial or residential land and the revenue department has rejected their application as per L-B6.
It is pertinent to mention that during his posting as Tehsildar Bahu, Dr Rohit Sharma has got 1600 kanal state land vacated from the land grabbers besides he got 2500 kanal JDA land demarcated and handed over to JDA. The 1600 kanal state land within the periphery of Bahu Tehsil means the prime land of Jammu & Kashmir as it is believed that the cost of the said land is in billion but no one has dared in past to evacuate the land.
There are reports that in last month too, Dr Rohit Sharma evacuated 8 kanals prime state land at Sunjwan National Highway worth of crore rupees and handed over to government for the public use. On the said land government can construct any public office or anything which can be for greater use of the public.
