Jammu Awaiting

It is almost thirty-six months have passed the erstwhile state Jammu & Kashmir was converted into two union territories and it was hoped that people of Jammu will get justice and the trend of discrimination would be ended in respect to Jammu but on ground nothing has changed so far. Whereas the Jammu has witnessed extra ordinary burden of visiting Union Ministers who are government expensive have visited the Jammu but they have done one thing good that maximum visiting dignitaries have paid obeisance to the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi with their respective families that too on government expensive. People were in surprise that why so much in number the Union Ministers are visiting the Jammu & Kashmir but they failed to understand the reason. There is an old saying that ‘much ado for nothing’ and it is completely fit saying in the case of coming of Union Ministers in Jammu that too without any purpose but only to intimidate the common people.
The people of Jammu were fed up from the disturbance and nuisance created by the visiting Union Ministers. Now the Jammu is with each passing day listening or are being made to listen to various but untrue announcements of the centre and UT government about the development and welfare of the people. Everyday several meetings are held by the authorities including the worthy Lt. Governor and his Advisors and according to the press releases issued by the information department about the meetings, ‘threadbare discussions’ were held on the issues of development, welfare and public grievances.
But the issue is that what is threadbare discussion and what is output of threadbare discussion?
This is an million dollar question as there is no change or no development on the ground but the administration is busy in claiming loudly. Similarly visits are made by the said authorities to various places and the same press release with almost the same subject is issued to the media. Besides, ‘public darbars and public grievances redress camps are also held at various places’ and a similar press release is issued by the information department to the media. There is only one target that how to get publicity let it be based on facts or not but the aim is to get publicity.
