JKSSB formally issues notification for cancellation of JKP SI OMR Written test

Jammu, Jul 2: The boldness of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has given a befitting reply to the corrupt persons who are hell bent to damage the image of honest J&K administration and the image of honest Prime Minister Mr Narender Modi by cancelling the OMR based objective type examination conducted for the post of Sub-Inspector (Police).
The Jammu Jottings team has came to know that there has been done a big fraud over the issue of paper leak and rigging of paper which were conducted by JKSSB and on June 07 and then the honest Governor immediately announced on June 9 for an inquiry and on June 10 an Enquiry Committee was constituted under the chairmanship of RK Goyal IAS and the committee has submitted the concrete report within a stipulated time period. After going through the contents of report and recommendations made by the Enquiry Committee the government has decided to cancel the OMR based objective type examination conducted for the post of Sub-Inspector (Police) Home Department, UT Cadre ad advertised vide Notification No. 6 of 2021 dated 21-10-2021 under Item No. 668.
Today the J&K Services Selection Board has issued a notification vide its office No SSB/Sel/Secy/2022/5387-95 dated 22-07-2022 to cancel the written test. The reports said that JKSSB has received the instructions from the General Administration Department vide letter No. GAD-MTG0RBIV/135/2022-09-GAD dated 21-07-2022 to cancel the OMR based written examination held on 27-03-2022.
The GAD has directed the JKSSB to cancel the OMR based written examination as the Enquiry Committee constituted vide Government Order No 687-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 10-06-2022 to enquire into the alleged irregularities in the written test for the post of Sub-Inspector.
The Enquiry Committee found the irregularities as reported by Jammu Jottings and recommended for cancellation of entire written test. Acting immediately on the report and recommendations of Enquiry Committee the Lt Governor immediately ordered for cancellation.
After receiving the instructions from GAD, the JKSSB deliberated the matter in the Board’s 206th meeting held on 22-07-2022 and then the Board formally issued notification for cancellation, it read as ‘Now, therefore, in view of the above, the OMR Based Objective Type Written Examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (Police), Home Department, advertised vide Notification No 06 of 2021 dated 21-10-2021, under Item No 668, conducted on 27-03-2022, along-with the result/score sheet, notified vide No SSB/Secy/SI(P)/2022/4687-4701 dated 04-06-2022 are hereby cancelled ab-initio.’
The notification was signed by Sachin Jamwal JKAS Secretary, J&K Service Selection Board Jammu/Srinagar. It is the formally order issued by the JKSSB to cancel the list of the aspirants of JKP SI.
This first time in the history of J&K that the list has been cancelled on the charges of rigging and the honest as in previous too many times there were allegations levelled by the then aspirants but the then political governments never took such decision but this is the bold decision of Lt Governor.
