Infamous rigging scandal of JKSSB!
- The aspirants are not responsible for any sort of rigging and leaking of paper but those who are involved and gobbled the money are still moving free in J&K, it gives pain to the entire society.
- The aspirants are the worst sufferer in both the conditions who got selected by the JKSSB and those who have not got selected but the administration do not care for it.
- Today in Jammu and as well in Kashmir the selected aspirants of FAA have staged the protest in heavy rain fall to know the fault of the genuine aspirants but government is silent over it.
- JKSSB must come out with a press note and justify the scrapping of selection list of JKP SI and also mention the names of officials involved in it including its officers.

Jammu/Srinagar, Jul 14: The job aspirants from both the provinces Jammu & Kashmir have made it to the selection list of Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) posts and were eagerly waiting to join the Finance Department today staged a protest after the alleged reports that the government is mulling to probe the authenticity of the recruitment process.
It is pertinent to mention here that the J&K administration has scrapped the list of JKP SI and left the aspirants to suffer, whereas those officials who are responsible for all this mess are still enjoying even after consuming the hefty amount from the poor aspirants. The government has scrapped the list but at the same time it had utterly failed to convince the people and aspirants about the reasons for scrapping the selection list.
No doubt, the government has ordered an inquiry and for that an Enquiry Committee was constituted and subsequently the committee has submitted its report to the government. Acting on the report, the government has scrapped the selection list in case of JKP SI but the government could held a single person responsible for it, where thousands of aspirants are suffering and even the act of government has divided the youth of J&K into two sections. This act of government has created ripples among the youth of J&K and they are on loggerhead.
The government must act wisely to avoid any sort of conflict among the youth of J&K and must come out with a press conference to spell out the reasons for scrapping of the selection list of JKP SI, besides expose the officials publically who are involved in this scam at any stage and put them at suspended animation with immediate effect.
When the government has sufficient reasons for scrapping the selection list of JKP SI then why government has not reason for exposing the officials who are involved in this infamous rigging scam and why government afraid t to disclose their names at this stage. The scrapping of selection list has been done on the report of Enquiry Committee then why not suspension or termination of the involved officers can be made. Such type of attitude of the administration is making the youth angry and likely to force them to come on street to stage protest openly against and favour of scrapping the selection list.
Pertinently, on the directions of LG Manoj Sinha, a probe has already been ordered with regard to the recruitment of Sub-Inspector posts in the Jammu Kashmir Police Department. The probe was ordered after it came to the fore that majority of the selected candidates hail from a single district of the Jammu region.
Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Recruitment Board (JKSSB) took over 2 years for conducting the examination of Accounts Assistant posts and when the verification of the selected candidates was almost complete and they were jubilant about getting appointed, a report surfaced that government will probe the whole recruitment process.
“JKSSRB in 2020 advertised different posts of Finance Department and among them were 927 posts for Accounts Assistant. The examination was conducted in March 2022 in which over one lakh aspirants appeared. The merit list was declared in April 2022 while document verification was conducted from 17 May to 25 May 2022. The selected candidates staged protest both in Valley and in Jammu and are on hunger strike as they fear that this recruitment process may be scrapped,” one of the protesting aspirants told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
The protesters were carrying placards. Slogans like ‘unemployment free J&K- a myth’, ‘justice for meritorious candidates’, ‘thanks for ruining our career’, ‘inquiry on spot’ etc were written on them.
“Why does it take so long for the government to question the recruitment process. We are not against the probe but that should be time-bound,” one of the lady protesters said alleging that the rights of deserved candidates are being trampled in the name of the probe and alleged scams.
“We want to know from the authorities what they have decided. Speculations must be put to rest. SSRB Chairman misbehaves with us when we approach him and the same is the case with other officers. We don’t know what’s happening,” the protesters said adding that they won’t end their hunger strike till a word of assurance comes from the Lieutenant Governor.
The protesters were camping at Press Enclave Srinagar till the filing of this report.
