Jammu police solve many theft cases, thieves arrested, recoveries made

Jammu, Jun 21: The Jammu district police under the skilled guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS today achieved many milestones and recovered huge stolen items, besides nabbed many thieves involved in several theft cases in different parts of the Jammu district.
The Jammu police today solved three theft/snatching cases and stolen items including bike, two scooties, two mobiles, 17 chairs recovered by Police Stations Bishanh, Bahu Fort and Pacca Danga respectively.
The police team of PS Bishnah achieved major success by recovering stolen items and arresting thieves /snatchers involved in theft/snatching case in the area.
In this concern, a complaint was lodged at PS Bishnah by one person namely Sunny Kumar son of Baldev Singh resident of Preet Nagar Hoshiyarpur, Punjab stating that some unknown persons snatched his bike along with 2 Mobile sets and 20 plastic Chairs which he was carrying on his bike for selling purpose.
On receipt of this information, a Case FIR No. 108/2022 U/S 382 IPC was registered at P/S Bishnah and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Bishnah Inspector Pawan Kumar Dogra did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area and connecting various leads along with timely human intervention finally rounded up three suspects later identified as -.Sukhdev Singh s/o Joginder Singh R/o Chama Kulli, Hoshiyarpur, Punjab A/P Kothi Morh; Lovely Singh S/o Govind Singh; and Angrez Singh both R/O Kothi Morh, Tehsil Bishnah Distt Jammu
During sustained questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure following stolen items were recovered from their possession included one motorcycle Discover (Rs 55000); 17 plastic chairs (Rs 10000); and Two Mob set (Rs 32000). The total value of recovered items is Rs 97,000.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
Similarly, in another written complaint was lodged at PS Pacca Danga by one person namely Amit Gupta S/o M R Gupta R /o Talab Tillo, Jammu regarding theft of his Scooty from Olympic association office from Parade Jammu area under the jurisdiction of PS Pacca Danga.
On this, a case FIR No. 66/2022 u/s 379 IPC got registered at PS Pacca Danga and investigation started. Special police teams of PP Parade under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kallu were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Singh assisted by I/C PP Parade SI Lalit Kumar did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area police team finally rounded up one suspect namely Amit Sharma S/o Prabhu Dutt R/o Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. During questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the above theft case.
It is pertinent to mention that the he also stole another scooty from Nanak Nagar Jammu bearing registration number JK02BP-8920.
Also on his disclosure both the stolen scooties has been recovered from his possession.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Another complaint was lodged at PP Narwal by one person namely Nitish Sharma S/o Sham Lal Sharma R/o Narwal Bala, Jammu regarding theft of some items from his 5 medical shops at Narwal main market Jammu area.
In this regard, case FIR No. 158/2022 under sections 457/380 IPC got registered at PS Bahu Fort and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PP Narwal under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafri were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali assisted by I/C PP Narwal SI Achal Rana did strenuous efforts and with the help of several CCTVs of the area finally rounded up two suspects. During questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure stolen cash along with other stolen items were recovered from their possession. The details of the accused persons are as- Raju Massi S/o Naku Massi R/o Sector C Sainik Colony, Jammu and Mohan Raj S/o Nanak Chand R/o Bakal Reasi.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
