06 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Jammu Police

Mining scandal!

• Jammu police is in no mood to tolerate any more illegal mining in Jammu and the mining mafia has to face stern action.

Jammu, Jun 10: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of Police Station Akhnoor, Police Post Chatha and Police Post Phallain Mandal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 06 different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized are as 03 vehicles i.e 02 tractor trolleys and 1 tipper without Registration No. by PS Akhnoor, 01 tractor trolley bearing Registration No JK02BK 3675 by PP Chatha.
The recoveries were made SHO PS Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar and I/C PP Chatha Inspector Ranjit Singh in their respective jurisdictions.
It is pertinent to mention that two JCB’s, one bearing Registration No. JK08C-3209 and other bearing chasis No./identification No. (TEP745NSCM8018156) were also found extracting sand from river tawi in violation of order of High court Jammu seized and brought to PP Phallain Mandal by I/C PP Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
