Students, Studies and Suspense

The future of students has now been covered under a carpet of suspense. The policy of the government to change the syllabus of schools and maybe of college students is definitely going to affect the future of students. The change in the syllabus is not new but has never been in the way of being adopted this time. With the change and new developments in every field the syllabus is changed from time to time but this time it is not the science or math or any other subject which demands updates after every coming year but this time the syllabus of history is being changed. It is a known and well accepted fact that the subject of history rarely demands any update because one cannot bring or incorporate any change in the events of the past. One cannot, despite all efforts change or even modify what has happened, only new research or development are incorporated after a thorough and proper authentication of the facts by the historians, sociologists and concerned scientists. Any change on the basis of fairytales and without authentication by an expert group of historians and concerned scientists. If with a revengeful thought or just to turn everything in your favour with fabricated stories and concepts then this attempt may or may not do good to the manipulators but this will in all respects harm the socio-cultural set-up and ultimately shall prove to be disastrous for the country.  This will leave the students or we should say the future citizens of the country in a state of dilemma. Secondly this shall also create an atmosphere of confusion and chaos in the education sector. If the syllabus is changed for every class then it shall be more confusing and problematic for the teachers and also for the students. The teachers who had studied themselves and had been teaching a syllabus since their childhood after being proved authenticated by the concerned historians, sociologists and scientists will find it difficult to accept the new and unauthenticated version of the history. Similarly, the students of middle and higher class will also not be in a position to adjust their studies so quickly. This will create a confusion among them and it will be almost impossible for them to discard what they have studied for seven, eight or nine years and adopt the new syllabus which is completely based upon fabricated and concocted stories. Let the good sense prevail upon the authorities and give a second thought to their unnecessary exercise.
