3 hybrid militants arrested in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 11: Security forces arrested three hybrid militants in north Kashmir’s Sopore sub district, police said
They said the trio was arrested at a checkpoint at Sonarwain bridge near Wadoora Bala village of Sopore.
“During checking, the joint party intercepted three persons coming from Wadoora Bala towards Sunwani bridge who on seeing joint naka party tried to escape from the spot but were apprehended tactfully,” a police spokesman said.
They have been identified as Tufail Majid Mir , Owais Ahmed Mir and Shabir Ahmed Wagay all residents of two villages of Sopore.
“Incriminating materials of proscribed terror outfit LeT, arms & ammunition including three pistols, three pistol magazines, 22 pistol rounds, one grenade and cash amounting to Rs 79,800 were recovered from their possession,” he said.
“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested persons are hybrid terrorists of proscribed terrorist organisation LeT and were in constant search of an opportunity to carry out attacks on security forces as well as civilians.” he added
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bomai and investigation has been initiated. UNI
