Three SSC in Army

The Union government has announced a new policy with regard to the temporary recruitment for the army as three year short service commissioning. How long is the period of three years for a young man to serve in the army who since his/her childhood has been aspiring to join the army? There are so many young boys and girls who after several attempts fail to fulfill their dream to join the army as the recruitment process of army is not as easy as it is for other civil services. The recruitment in the army requires first of all the passion for the army, then physical fitness, intelligence and a person who is strong not only physically but also mentally. The aspiring candidates first of all have to clear a national level aptitude exam that too with fixed merit level. Then he has to go through the screening test which is followed by a three day long series of physical and mental examinations. In between the psychologists evaluate the psychology of the candidate by observing his behavior and give marks accordingly. Those young men and women who successfully clear all these exams and tests have to undergo a medical fitness test. A young man or woman after passing through such a rigorous and competitive series of tests and examinations and after that goes through the one of the toughest training is asked after just three years of service to go back to your home and search for another job. The approximate age of the young men and women selected for this three year SSC shall be around twenty or twenty one year. Where will that young officer who has been retired just after three years after he joined the service, go and will he be in a position to adjust him in civil service? Secondly,  will he be in a position to maintain his mental balance after being sent back to home after three years service which he/she got after going through the most difficult process of recruitment? Is this not a joke with both the youth and also with the highly revered Indian Army. After expending lakhs of rupees the Indian Army makes a raw young man/woman one of the best soldiers of the country and before he could serve the nation or the organization, he will be sent back to home without any fault of those young men/women. This practice is in no way good for the youth, for the army and also for the nation. Army officers must rethink this and ask the government to take back this inappropriate policy.
