Can a unsafe building used for functions?
- With the corrupt practices Sai Palace Complex Mishriwala has been declared unsafe and was given compensation twice at first it got Rs has got Rs 372935, which was genuine but in second instalment he got Rs 29232941, which is big money and it was more than cost of the complex including land.

Jammu, Feb 11: How can the owner of Sai Palace complex Mishriwala Kuldeep Singh get twice compensation? Why there was twice assessment for construction of one road? Who asked the PWD to go for twice assessment of structure of Sai Palace Complex? What was the intention of the officer who ordered for twice assessment in the case of Sai Palace Complex? What was the motto of the concerned SDM Jammu North in this issue? Why not the SDM Jammu North reply to RTI filed in his office on 08-12-2021 with proper receipt and procedure? Why is the role of SDM Jammu North unclear in this issue? What kind of fact the SDM Jammu North want to hide? Is there a scandal and due to that SDM Jammu North not replying to RTI? These are very serious concerns and reasons to be taken seriously as the state exchequer is being siphoned off by some corrupt officers and the matter required a great probe in it.
The NHIDCL has taken the assignment to construct the National Highway from Jammu to Akhnoor and several structures have been demolished to make a way for road construction. In the construction of this road many departments were involved like PWD, Revenue and NHIDCL. The involvement of these departments only to ensure the work of best quality and there should be no misuse of money.
But the things have changed as the misuse of money has been done on the behest of SDM Jammu North as the assessment has been done twice only too fleece the money. This is why surfacing that if building has been declared unsafe and paid compensation for it then why said building has not been bulldozed by the concerned authority. It was the duty of SDM Jammu North to get the unsafe building razed down but it has been not done, because the building was not unsafe and the money has been withdrawn fraudulently.
Here the Engineers of PWD are also involved in this scandal as they have declared the safe building unsafe. Presently building is in very much use as it was prior to the episode. A restaurant is being run in the building, besides all the floors are in best use. Recently some government function was carried in the said building but it has been declared unsafe.
The officer of NHIDCL also expressed the concern over the misuse of money so he raised concern over it. It is pertinent to mention that in first assessment the PWD engineers have done the rightful as some of the part of Sai Complex Mishriwala included compound wall and outer area was demolished but after then a conspiracy was hatched and the entire Sai Complex was declared unsafe by the legal Engineers.
