CCF Jammu acquits accused 2 officials, held people responsible for illegal felling

He revokes suspension orders on last hour!

• If Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS knew the actual accused persons those who chopped of the Khair trees illegally then why he not registered FIR against those.
• Why Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS silently helped the criminals to go scot free and he accepted the loss to the Forest for which he is getting handsome salary.
• There is big wrong in this episode that entire department is conspiring to hide, even the Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS too equally involved in the illegal felling gang.

Jammu, Jan 29: Why has the outgoing Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS on last hour in this office revoked the suspension orders of Rashid Mohd the then Beat Guard Jagti-1 and Vinay Kumar Forester, the then Block Officer Nagrota-1 Block, Jammu Range of Jammu Forest Division? Why has the Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS shown so hurry to revoke the suspension of two proven defaulters? What was the intention of Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS in revoking of the suspension orders of two Forest officials found guilty in Jagti illegal Khair felling case? What was the personal interest of Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS in revoking the suspension orders of two officials who have been proved to be guilty? These are some sharp questions for the Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS and the entire Forest department that why Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS has revoked the suspension of two suspended officials that too on last hour of his tenure in this office.
The revocation of suspension orders of two suspended officials Rashid Mohd the then Beat Guard Jagti-1 and Vinay Kumar Forester, the then Block Officer Nagrota-1 Block, Jammu Range of Jammu Forest Division has created many doubts on Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS that as why he did it when he was knowing that he has been transferred from his office to the office of Pollution Control Board. He has set a wrong precedence in the department. It seems that he was looking for such opportunity that he would revoke the suspension orders of the suspended officials. May be he has made commitment to both of suspended officials that he would do on the last day as Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu and he did today.
It is pertinent to mention that the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department has ordered today transfers and postings of two officials including K Ramesh Kumar. He has been transferred and posted as Member Secretary, Pollution Control Committee J&K vide Government order No 08-JK(FST) of 2022 dated 28-01-2022. The reports said that as he came to know about his transfer from the office Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu he then revoked the suspension orders of two officials involved in Jagti illegal felling of Khair trees.
On June 06, 2021, Jammu Jotting have predicted that what will happen later on and the story was published on the issue of June 07, 2021, which was having the crux that the department will dispose the case by saying that villager have done this and the Forest officers are not involved. The Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS forgot my prediction and wrote the same as I wrote 235 days earlier. The Forest’s enquiry often imply the same excuse to save their employees as they all are involved in this dirty game.
Let me tell you what I wrote on June 06, 2021 and published on June 07, 2021 as –“I often meet with senior officers of Forest (retired) they said me that the officers who have been appointed as enquiry officer by the Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu would not achieve much out of this big scandal. They said that the enquiry should be handed over to Crime Branch to ascertain the truth in the issue. They further told Forest officers have a big excuse that villagers have cut the trees on the death or on the marriage of daughters of villagers and so on. These are the lame excuses would be sprawled over the enquiry report.
Let we see, if the same excuses and stories have been contained in this enquiry report it would be a clear indication that the constitution of enquiry committee was mere a eye-wash and the process has been initiated by the Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu is a mere cover up of the illegal felling of Khair and other trees in the Jammu Forest division.”
The Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS has written the same script in his revocation order Forest Order No 29 of 2022 dated 28-01-2022 – “Whereas, the people of Panchayat Halqa Jagti/ Panjgrian, Nagrota, jammu have given a representation to this office regarding no involvement of the suspended staff in the commission of offence and admitted their fault in the loss caused to the forest department since the felled trees/poles were utilized by them for the cremation of dead bodies during Covid-19 pandemic and have remitted Rs 1,04,000 (Rupes one lac and four thousand only) in Addl Treasury New Plot Jammu under Forest Head 0406 dated 15-12-2021 on account of cost of compensation of damage of 12 No of Khair trees/poles.”
Now the question is very clear that when the accused themselves have confessed about the crime then why not Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu K Ramesh Kumar IFS had lodged FIR against these people who have robbed the green gold. The order is full of doubts and commissions, so the Lt Governor must intervene in this issue and hand over all these to CBI to dig the frauds and corrupt activities by the CCF Jammu.
