- In social media the news about nomination of Dr Charu Gupta daughter of Kavinder Gupta as JK BJYM spokesperson is circulating with high speed and stunning everybody because Dr Charu Gupta is Dental Surgeon in Government District Hospital Jammu Gandhi Nagar.
- It is fake or real order; or she is other Dr Charu Gupta and not Kavinder Gupta’s daughter but it is hitting news.
- Â The former minister health Bali Bhagat said that there is no provision that any government employee can join the political party at any level and if case there is any then he/she can be terminated from the government services.

Jammu, Jan 20: How can a government employee be an important office bearer of a political party? How can a political party appoint a government employee as one of the important office bearers that too at state level? How can a government employee accept his/her appointment in a political party that too without resigning or retiring from the job? Is it a possible that a doctor employed in government hospital be appointed in a political party on one of the important posts that too state level? Are there is every sorts of immunity for the children of ex-Speakers or ministers and there is no constitutional bar on them? May be the slogan is fit in this case ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’? These are some tangy questions for BJYM and BJP to reply and come clean over it or BJP is above constitution of India and can do anything right or wrong.
The issue has been erupted when Dr Charu Gupta daughter of Kavinder Gupta ex-Deputy Chief Minister & Speaker has been nominated as Spokesperson of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha Jammu Kashmir as she is a Dental Surgeon and working in a Government Hospital under NHM. The order to this nomination have been issued on 19-01-2022 vide its letter No JKBJYM/P/18476/2022 and the order has been signed by the Arun Prabhat, president, BJYM, Jammu & Kashmir.
The controversy in this nomination is that Dr Charu Gupta is a Dental Surgeon and working in Government District Hospital Jammu (Gandhi Nagar) and she is an employee under National Health Mission programme. She is getting handsome salary from the government and enjoying the status of doctor in and outside the hospital.
Now the matter is that there is no rule and regulation for the leaders of BJP and their children, so they can do anything as they want. The constitutional experts said that there is no provision that a Doctor during his/her service period can join the political party officially and become active office bearer. But here is the slogan ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ and in this case it is completely fit.
The former minister Bali Bhagat said that no employee can be nominated in any of the political party in India as constitution does not allow it and he added that it is strange to hear that a doctor in service has been nominated as JK BJYM spokesperson. He further added that may be she is another girl and both are having same name.
