Tehsildar Bahu retrieves 235 kanal state land from Sunjwan in one go

- Mr Shaleen Kabra IAS Financial Commissioner Revenue and Mr Vijay Bidhuri IAS Commissioner/Secretary Revenue Department initiated land retrieving process and directed all the tehsildars in this concern.
- The tehsildar Bahu got registered three FIRs with Police Station Channi Himmat against the violators.
- The other tehsildars must follow orders of senior officers and get the state land vacated from the land grabbers.

Jammu, Jan 19: The Revenue department under the stewardship of Mr Shaleen Kabra IAS Financial Commissioner Revenue and Mr Vijay Bidhuri IAS Commissioner/Secretary Revenue department has achieved a new milestone especially in Tehsil Bahu by retrieving 1152 kanal state and JDA land from the clutches of land-robbers who are having muscle and money power.
A team of revenue officials under led by Tehsildar Bahu Dr Rohit Sharma today visited the village Sunjwan and identified the state land measuring 235 kanal falling under Khasra No 1524 and with hectic efforts retrieved it from the clutches of land robbers. The task of retrieving the grabbed land was very tough but the team struggled hard and got it vacated.
The land grabbers in the shape of property dealers, goons, businessmen and other prominent citizens of Jammu have grabbed thousands of kanal land let it be state land, custodian land or banned Khads but it has been noticed till that often revenue officers avoid to enter in such action because such conflict creates enemy in bulk that too very powerful including politicians, higher ranked civil & police officers, goons, property dealers and capitalists. But the team of Tehsil Bahu under the supervision of Tehsildar Dr Rohit Sharma accompanied by concerned Naib tehsildar, Girdawar and Patwaris jumped into this action and got success.
It is pertinent to mention that in last two years the revenue officers of tehsil Bahu has retrieved 1152 state land falling in village Sunjwan and Chowadh. The revenue team under the directions of Dr Raghav langer IAS Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mr Anshul Garg IAS Deputy Commissioner Jammu and closely monitored by Abhishek Abrol KAS Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu South has taken the challenge of retrieving the encroached land. The Revenue team of tehsil Bahu has first identified the encroached land, then demarcated and then retrieved.
The revenue team has transferred the retrieved land to various departments for use as the departments were looking for land for years together. Apart from the state land transferred to JDA in Vill Sunjwan, Doongian, Rakh Bahu,Channi Rama which was pending demarcation for last more than 15 yrs has been demarcated.
In this connection the Tehsildar Bahu has got registered three separate FIRs against the violators with Police Station Channi Himmat in last three months. On 04-10-2021 an FIR was registered vide FIR No 162/2021, second FIR was got registered on 05-01-2022 vide FIR No 0003/2022 and third FIR was registered on 11-01-2022 vide FIR No 0004/2022. Even the Tehsildar Bahu has written another latter to SHO PS Channi Himmat in this concern.
