PWD declares unsafe!
- PWD has declared it as unsafe building but the owner has thrown it open for the public and even government functions have been organised in the same building.
- The matter should be enquired by CBI as it is the bigger scandal of Jammu & Kashmir and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha must intervene in it.

Jammu, Jan 16: How can a building be used for public which has been declared unsafe by the Public Works Department? How can the engineers of Public Works Department issue wrong certificate regarding unsafe? Why Public Works Department is not giving the full details asked in the RTI? Why the engineers of Public Works Department using double standard in assessment? Why the concerned engineers of Public Works Department have given twice compensation for same building? Have the engineers of Public Works Department written to the district administration about the unsafe building? These are several tough but relevant questions to be answered by the Public Works Department as the public money has been drained worthlessly only to feed a man illegally that too on the false and fake evidence.
The National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited has been involved to construct the four-lane Road from Jammu to Akhnoor and for that the land has to be acquired by the Revenue department and for that concerned SDMs have been appointed. This is the case falling under the jurisdiction of Sub Divisional Magistrate Jammu North. One person who is the owner of a building got twice compensation that too in crores and the building for he got compensation is as it is and open for public use.
It is pertinent to mention that some government functions have been organised in the same building and officers from office of Deputy Commissioner Jammu attended the function in that building which has been declared unsafe by the engineers of Public Works Department. Now the issue is that why not Public Works Department has conveyed to the District Administration about the unsafeness of the building as the building is open for public and Public Works Department has put the lives of people in danger.
It is very clear case of breach of trust that Public Works Department has played double game with the law of land and directly challenged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha over the assessment programme. The Public Works Department has not only cheated the National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) but they have openly challenged the President of India as J&K is being ruled by the President’s rule. Such insult by the PWD is beyond the point of understanding and the matter will be enquired by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
Let we peep into the land acquisition in Doomi the genuine people were given less compensation or negligible as compared to share but the fake people got much compensation for nothing. This has been done under the aegis of SDM and the need of the hour is that a proper investigation must be done into this scandal and it will surely turn into a big scandal and several engineers of PWD would be found involved in it.
