UT administration negligence!
- Akhnoor is the biggest Sub Division but the UT administration is taking likely and now it is the right time that Lt Governor Mr Manoj Sinha to intervene in this issue.

Jammu, Jan 07: Why the Jammu & Kashmir Government is so callous in case of Sub Division Akhnoor? Why the Lt Governor is not taking keen interest towards Sub Division Akhnoor, which is one of the biggest Sub Division? Why the administration is not taking the people of Akhnnor seriously? How long people of Akhnoor have to suffer on the name of administration? Why administration waiting for people to come on road and create law and order problem for the administration? These are some pinching question for UT administration and Lt Governor to reply the people and come clean over it.
The Akhnoor Sub Division has got its last full timer Sub Division Magistrate and that was Gopal Singh who was transferred to Ramnagar vide Order No.344-JK (GAD) of 2021 on 18th April 2021 and since then the Akhnnor Sub Division is on ad-hoc basis and it is just to kill the time and not to provide people of Akhnnor as proper solace. With the transfer of SDM Gopal Singh, the people of Akhnnor are facing multi-faced problems, which are soaring them with each passing day. After the transfer of Gopal Singh, on May 1, 2021 the government has given additional charge SDM Chowki Choura Chand Kishore Sharma to look after the charge of SDM Akhnoor in addition to his own duties, which itself speaks the callousness of the state administration even and Lt Governor who could not provide a full time SDM to one of the biggest Sub Division of Jammu.
The ad-hocism remained on the agenda of administration and Navneet Maan Probationer IAS officer has taken charge as SDM Akhnoor for provisional tenure but she was not assigned the power of registrar being a probationer.
The people of Akhnoor have suffered a lot for registration purposes and then to kill the time the charge for registration was once again given to SDM Chowki Choura. But the probationer SDM Navneet Maan IAS again transferred and the charge of SDM Akhnoor was given to SDM Chowki Choura Virendra Gupta who is also the registrar of Akhnoor.
The people of Akhnoor, since April 18, 2021 are suffering due to negligence of UT administration and Lt Governor and they are have to go several rounds for a small work. The registration work of Sub Division Akhnoor is done only two days in a week whereas it remained totally suspended for long duration between these regularly transferring of officials.
It is pertinent to mention that Akhnoor is one of largest sub division having majority of elected representatives from BJP whether its DDC members or councillors but still public is at suffering end from last almost 9 months.
