No cancellation of state land!
- It is very ironic part of the story that the revenue officials completely failed to make red entries of state land Girdwari, despite reminders from DC Jammu.
- The energetic DC Jammu Anshul Garg IAS has taken many initiatives to streamline the disrupted land record but some of his subordinates are trying to sabotage the process, so he must identify them.
- The Revenue department has to be serious to save the land, whereas the Divisional Commissioner Jammu has to play vital role in this aspect.
- The LG must pull the strings of revenue department to get the red entries on the Girdwari of state land.
- Those families who are in possession of land till they have occupies the land are entitled of ownership but those who sold or bought are not entitled for ownership.

Jammu, Nov 30: The Deputy Commissioner Jammu has taken an intuitive to retrieve the land from the land-mafia but not from the genuine occupants. The genuine occupants mean those who are on the state land but not sold the land and the land remained in their possession from family generation and the government has a provision to give them ownership rights. But those who sold their land on the basis of Girdawari and those people who have bought the land on the basis of Girdwari are not entitled to get the ownership right.
The issue of red entries on the state land is still in dilemma and the people are in quandary that what will be the next as the land-grabbers are ruling the roost.
The state land, in a large chunk in Bhalwal Tehsil remained untouched by the Revenue department as the revenue officers of Bhalwal Tehsil are enough kind to encroaches and left them to go scot free from the issue of illegal encroachment. The people of Bhalwal tehsil are enjoying on the land of illegal possession and they do not bother about the orders of senior officers of Revenue department as they strictly ordered to vacate the state land but in Bhalwal anything can happen in the terms of illegality.
The then patwari has done the entire game and encouraged the land grabbers to grab the land and he was sitting there, (Mei ithe betha da na). The land-grabbers have sold the grabbed land on agreement to sell, which is invalid document. The concern Girdwar and Naib tehsildar both also failed to discharge their duties and he instead making the state land vacated they gave a cover to the land grabbers. The Tehsil head is Tehsildar and he is completely failed in this regard.
The land in question belongs to the state land but the Tehsildar is sleeping over it and it amounts that silently supporting the land grabbers. The land is very prime and having the best market value. The revenue officers posted in Bhalwal Tehsil have remained defunct and needed to be overhauled.
