‘Karya Khas’- A special post in Police Stations!

• In maximum Police Stations a special post of ‘Karya Khas’ has been created and he looks after the entire collection and corruption falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station.
• The ‘Karya Khas’ has the special exemption in all type of duties like patrolling, nakka party and other but he has great responsibility of money collection.
• The ‘Karya Khas’ has the special immunity to enter and re-enter the office or bedroom or retiring room of the said SHO.
• To bridle the corruption from Police Stations, the CBI must identify and nab the ‘Karya Khas’ of police stations, besides interrogate them and they will surely reveal everything like parrot.
• Not all Police Officers are corrupt but such police officers bring bad name to entire police department.

Jammu, Nov 26: It is astounding to believe but it is true that that premier investigating agency of the country has raided the Police Station Bishnah and nabbed a corrupt police officer of the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector red handed, when he was accepting bribe from a victim that too inside the Police Station.
As per the sources, the corrupt police officer was harassing the victim on one or other pretext to act on his complaint and later he demanded the money from the victim. The hapless victim, collected the money from his friends and relatives but he did a temndous job and approached the CBI and the CBI in turn raided and caught a police officer red handed while accepting a bribe that too inside the Police Station Bishnah here in the city outskirts.
The CBI team taking prompt action on the complaint of victim, entered the police station Bishnah afternoon and caught the cop of the rank of an Assistant Sub Inspector Sham Singh Katyal red handed while accepting Rs 20000 from the victim. He has been immediately taken into custody and the matter is being investigated. There were reports coming for last couple of months that inside the Police Station Bishnah has become dafe place for corruption and the corruption was going on openly, whereas the Station House Officer was fully aware of the game of corruption. The sitting SHO Bishnah has opted criminal silence over the open corruption in his police station, even he was patronising the corruption and corrupt practices.
The CBI must investigate the role of SHO Bishnah in this episode of corruption, which has shaken the faith of common man of Jammu & Kashmir in general and the people of Bishnah particularly on the Jammu & Kashmir Police.
A social activist on the condition of anonymity told that in the Police Station Bishnah there is special post of ‘Karya Khas’ (Special Employee), which has given the charge of entire collection in the jurisdiction of said police station. The ‘Karya Khas’ has to play very important role and the applicants often looking for ‘Karya Khas’ to get their work done by the SHO. The modus operndi of ‘Karya Khas’ is that after meeting with the applicants, he (Karya Khas) takes the people in corner and shows them their corruption plan like an Insurance Agent and then applicant has to opt one plan of corruption and then the work of get done by the SHO. This is not the story of one police station but the maximum police stations have this special post of ‘Karya Khas’ for a particular work.
Let me tell you what type of facilities have been given to ‘Karya Khas’. He has been exempted from the any kind duty including patrolling or nakka party, besides he has the authority to meet and discuss the issues with concerned SHO at any time. No one from the police station is allowed to enter the bedroom or retiring room of the concerned SHO but ‘Karya Khas’ has the immunity to enter or re-enter the bedroom or retiring room of concerned SHO.
