What for the Visits of Union Ministers Were?

The visit of any Minister union or state to any region or place must have some purpose otherwise there is no function to go for tours and do the personal jobs or attend the personal functions. Without any specific purpose the visit can be described as a luxury visit for personal or family enjoyment. Such visits can never be described as official visit in any respect. If a visit is being made to another state or a region for from your head office location then it must be with some important reason. Because public money is used for each and every visit of all the VIP’s including President, Vice President, Prime Minister and other ministers. Recently about seventy union ministers visited UT Jammu and Kashmir on the pretext of public outreach programme. The title of these visits in itself is contradictory, because ‘visits’ under public outreach program cannot be said a special program but this should be a normal activity Secondly if the ministers of a government has to arrange a special program for ‘Public Outreach’ than it is clear that that there is alienation with public. Thirdly what made the government of India to send in bulk the ministers to visit UT Jammu and Kashmir within a month so quickly? Had there been any emergency or some special occasion? If at all there was a special occasion that must have been put on public domain and also the result of these visits immediately after the conclusion of the so hyped visits. Few days back there was a story released by the union home ministry where it was stated that all those ministers who visited Jammu and Kashmir have started furnishing their reports to the PMO and to union Home Ministry. After that story so far nothing has come out about the purpose and the result of those visits. But over this subject both the governments Union as well as UT are silent over this and nothing concrete is happening on the ground. On the other hand for the last about couple of years economical situation in the UT is becoming bad to worse and in such a situation what was the fun of sending a of about seventy odd Union Ministers to Jammu and Kashmir? Secondly for the facilitation of their visits all the UT officials and security personal were deputed in their service taking the expenditure in millions without any positive result.
