Jammu, Nov 09: Why the administration was silent over the missing of revenue record for so many years? Why the higher authorities kept silent over so many years when they have come to know the missing of revenue records? Who is behind in this episode of missing of revenue records from the office? Which person was the beneficiary by the missing of revenue record? Why not the administration is taking the issue of missing of revenue record in serious way? Why not the administration ordering an CBI enquiry into the missing episode to dig out the truth from this disgusting episode? Will this enquiry being ordered by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu on 08-11-2021 serve the purpose to ascertain the facts of missing records? These are the some of the most significant question for revenue department and the J&K administration, which needed complete and satisfactory answer from the concerned chair as people are in quandary and a sense of insecurity is brewing among the people of Jammu in particular and in people of J&K in general. Let we see which is officer is coming forward to reply the queries of public or they will avoid all this.
The Deputy Commissioner Jammu in his order has constituted a committee for ascertaining the status of missing Massavis (village map) and Lathas of Revenue villages of District Jammu. No doubt it is good step but the people inducted in the committee are not experts in conducting the enquiry or investigation. They can only investigate the issue related to their department but the real issue to be investigated will remain elusive that who is the culprit in the case of missing of revenue record.
In his order the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg IAS mentioned as ‘A committee of following officers is hereby constituted fr ascertaining the status of missing Massavis (village map) and Lathas of all Revenue villages of District Jammu. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (L&O) Jammu as chairman, Sub Divisional Magistrate Akhnoor- member, Tehsildar Revenue Training Institute Jammu-member and Naib Tehsildar Jammu Khas-member.’
The order further said ‘The committee shall inspect and verify the Massavis and Lathas of all revnue villages, besides inspecting the handover/takeover record to pin point the delinquent officers/officials and shall submit a detailed report along with the data as per the format enclosed within 10 days.’ The order is duly signed by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg IAS himself and it signifies that DC Jammu is much particular about it but the issue is that the committee wil submit the complete report within 10 days or like earlier reports it will too go unattended several months.
