The word politicians has been derived from the word Politics. Politics has been termed as an art and science as such this has been named as Political Science. This is one of the important subjects included in the art stream of the educational system. This subject is very popular among those students who are interested in politics only but to understand the social-political system and gain some knowledge about the world and society. Many students of Political Science go for further research on the various issues discussed or incorporated in the subject. In fact there are several points and matters described in the subject demand and deserve research for their further elaboration. The word politics which gave birth to Political Science has been fully discussed and well defined but the politicians have nowhere been defined or discussed. The time has come to go for research on politicians also, because now it has become very difficult to understand their character and characteristics. There had been a time when the politicians were associated with a political party because of their ideology then came the time when the motive of the politicians was to oppose those who have been offering their services to the masses. As for them, to be a politician was to enjoy power, which initially was not the motive of the politicians of yesteryears. However the word power was very silently entered in politics and those who had the motive only to acquire the power applied all ways and means to become a politician. So with the entry of such people in politics the definition of Political Science came under pressure to get changed or amended but was not accepted by the learned people and the honest politicians. The reason was that politicians are human beings and are prone to be allured and can change their attitude and loyalty but the subject does not fall under this category so Political Science must not be and can never be redefined that too only because of the greedy human beings. Now in the present era a politician is not a person who is faithful to politics but to self interest, money and power. Such human beings who claim to be politicians are in fact traders of human emotions, and the buyers of human values and the killers of democratic spirit.
