Complaint against Veterinary Assistant ‘roams’ different offices
‘No action taken against official, complainant smells a rat’

Babus have created hurdles for Lt. Governor to deliver the best to the society and his untiring efforts to make J&K a corruption-free, as despite lodging of hundreds of complaints by the whistle-blowers against the corrupt and backdoor appointee officers/officials in various departments went unnoticed or top Babus instead of taking action, preferred to sit on the files.

In a case, a whistle-blower, retired engineer, who in the past have exposed many wrongdoings in the department has lodged a written complaint against a Veterinary Assistant with Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, but on ground no action has been seen.
“I lodged a complaint against Sr Veterinary Assistant, Sunjwan Jammu in LG’s office on 19/05/2021 regarding tempering and destroying of his service by himself to cover up the sins, he committed at the time of his appointment”, said the whistle-blower, adding that in the month of June this year, he also submitted complaint alongwith relevant documents in R. R. Bhatnagar, Advisor to LG for necessary actions.

“The personal section of Advisor Bhatnagar on 17/06/2021 wrote to Principal Secretary to Government Animal/Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries Department”, he said, adding that after wasting a month, the administrative on July 13, 2021 wrote to the Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu for conducting an enquiry into a time bound manner.

“Instead of conducting enquiry on her own or through department vigilance officer, the Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, further asked Joint Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu R S Pura to conduct the enquiry”, he said, adding that the non-seriousness of Babus to handle the serious cases, which are instrumental in derailing the efforts of LG to combat corruption.

“This official has destroyed the first two pages of his service book to cover up his wrongdoings. He entered 12/07/1983 his date of appointment instead of 17/01/1984 actual date of his appointment”, he said, adding that a fake school leaving certificate was issued in his favour on 03/01/1985 by the then Head Master of Government High School Vijaypur.

Apart from playing with rules, he has amassed huge immovable assets including hundreds Kanal of prime land in Vijaypur worth several hundred crores rupees, a separate story will be carried regarding his property.
