Attend office regularly or face action: DC Anantnag warns absentee officials

Anantnag , Aug 04: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla took a great step to end the rest of Absentee Employees especially those who like to enjoy free salaries without any hard work.
Now it is the time to all absentee employees to attend their offices regularly and show some honesty towards their jobs now they should change their habit of minting free salaries, meanwhile Admin on Wednesday constituted attendance monitoring squads headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue and respective Sub Divisional Magistrates. The squads inspected various public offices in the district and forwarded the reports of absentee officials to the Deputy Commissioner.
The DC asked the sectoral officers to strictly monitor the attendance of subordinate officials and establishments so that the public do not face any kind of inconvenience in receiving notified public services on time.
Taking cognisance of the absenteeism, the DC ordered deduction of one day salary from the absentee officials cautioning for ensuring cent percent attendance in all public offices across the district. He said the absenteeism will not be tolerated adding that discipline and punctuality will be enforced in the district for timely completion of development projects and delivery of public services.
Now question is what next and what will be the further action of District Administration Anantnag, if absenteeism will not be over and if they failed to deliver satisfactory public services in the district.
