In Kalidhar Forest Range timber smugglers are active and running department
*Which Forest officer is supporting in the Kalidhar Range and why the department failing to nab the scab?
*Always villagers will stop the smuggling of wood in Kalidhar range and the officers of Forest will only swallow the huge amount of salary.
*Mr AK Mehta you are the Chief Secretary of J&K and the Forest department is at the verge of devastation, please save it by throwing away the ineffective and worthless officers.

Despite the senior officers of Forest department making very loud claims of being honest and very good performance of the department, the people today spotted the big heap of Kahir wood in Khad area of Bomal Panchayat under Kalidhar Forest Range and the Ranger of that area is Pawan Sharma said that wood has been seized and the case has been referred to police.
This is not the first time that the Khair wood has been found illegally under the range of Kalidhar but the Forest department is in deep slumber and do not care about big bungling in the department. Here, the basic issue is not that the illegal felling was done on Forest land or on other land but the basic issue is that timber smuggler are very much active in the Kalidhar Range and they might be having the support of some of concerned Forest officers. It is very much fact without the support of Forest officers, the timber smuggler or timber thief cannot move an inch, now the issue is that who will identify the scabs in Forest department. Where are the Forest Guards, Block Officer and Ranger? Are they all sleeping or having some link with timber smugglers. This should be enquired by some expert agency meant for investigation.
The Kalidhar Range is already surrounded by illegal felling of Khair and other trees, whereas an inquiry has been ordered but the scabs are so powerful that no one can touch them. The Khair wood was abandoned by smugglers or some villagers have caught the smugglers in the a=way but the Forest department failed to play its role in protecting the wood.
The role of Forest department has reduced to such an extent that if people may caught the smugglers or thieves then the Forest officials will appear on the scene to steal credit and to show their presence but they are the instruments who are responsible for defeating the purpose of Forest department.
The Forest officers including ranger Kalidhar Pawan Sharma visited the spot and seized the wood and handed the case to the police. He said that police will enquire that from where the wood was being smuggled and from where it has been illegally chopped off. When i asked him that after seeing the heap of wood what is his guess about how much trees have been felled and he replied 5 to 7 Khair trees but the villagers told that that as per the heap it is being gussed that more than 15 trees have been felled.
It ios pertinent to mention that son of a wood contractor, who is a popular contractor registered with Forest department also seen while as he was secretly seeming the heap of wood from a distance. The villagers told that the contractor son has no link with the Bomal village and his house is several kilometres away from the scene then why he came to see this smuggled wood. The villagers also opined that the said contractor and his son must be questioned by the police to ascertain their role in this abandoned wood in a Khad.
