The man is humanity personified and it has to be the obvious phenomenon since who better than Rajeshwar Singh understands a man adorn in Khaki  I think at my age , may be half a century and little more barring aside the dates I have read in plenty in history of men who became legends, who we the lesser mortals could read and reread because these men filled the pages of history manuals and have to be learnt about because they have to figure in one or the other competitive exams for making what we call ultimately a career for making a life successful.  I’m a bit inquisitive because I have a habit, a stubborn one and that is getting into the details, that also deep dug to come to a definitive conclusion.
This time I have a question for more learned, what was common between, Canada, Netherlands, China, Germany, Australia, France, United Kingdom, Italy, United States of America, Japan and India. The answer for many greats of modern times would be, great countries, lovely people, all giants as leaders in their own respect, all looking at the future, very competitive etc etc. I thought that this is the last answer I would tick.  The one which I would is that all this team of eleven I mentioned above one thing is striking. They all have a great Force multiplier for the internal handling of situations. I mean the Police. Because they are the ones who deal with the law and order situations. Some unusual grammarian will say that I started a sentence with because, but I have a reason since at the moment when cause is a difficult one then the man in uniform whom the people know is dealing with his own!
Rest is all if and but’s it’s here where Jammu and Kashmir Police stands out. One of a man with whole baggage on his back is AIG Personnel Rajeshwar. Whether a Singh or not it matters less but deeds do! And this man is a sparkling filament who loves to lead from the front! The thematic undercurrent of his functioning is that he knows what is man management! Very few know that though they are taught everything in service courses. Rajeshwar learnt it from is Police Academy days! May be he would be smiling over these nostalgic moments since the write up concerns those which he has lived! Every police officer lives these before he ultimately retires!
This police officer is always ready with a broad smile and a kind word, for lowering stress in the community is all part of the job. But the men under him matter to him the most. They do because on the next morning field excursion they have to be on the run and the probability is bigger in place like Jammu and Kashmir when everything happens at a drop of a hat! This police officer has walked his  beat with an outward smile and the inner worry of yet another mother whose kid is with him. A Police Officer undergoes many trials but the worst is when he confronts his own and there the decision has to be an instant! Good or bad lies dead in history books but the burden of guilt carries long. Rajeshwar is a human being at heart, every Police Officer in Jammu and Kashmir is but somewhere misunderstood!
As a child probably he’d been nothing but a mess. He though had lost everything, forgot everything and respected no-one. Has to be that way when we all are kids. But that happens when we understood none. But then we grow up with whites over the temples, forgetting that the minimum age to retire is approaching and that is the time we have to become a bundle of energy and people should say, ‘from his polished shoes to his trimmed moustache he was an officer. He ran his unit with an iron fist, yet commanded the respect of every soldier.’ That is what every officer in Jammu and Kashmir Police is and the man Rajeshwar by all means the same. No exaggeration here! Certainly and definitely not!
He was SSP Rajouri and I think he could not have been a fielder at backward point as called in cricket, has to be that when a square cut ball can be thrashed over head then the person at the crease has to be extraordinary. This Rajeshwar is!
Great jobs done can never be counted but one thing I would stand for always! An unwritten chapter of great works and jobs executed by Jammu and Kashmir Police I would be writing in my book of compilations. Jammu and Kashmir Police is the best! Has to be!
