Samba, Nov 13: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer Samba has struck on the traffic rules violators to teach them a lesson and in this concern she had made a surprise appearance and challaned 80 buses and 2 other vehicles for over speeding on National Highway.
A special naka was laid by ARTO Samba Rehana Tabassum against the over-speeding buses running on the Jammu-Kathua route. The Motor Vehicle Department has done its job to bridle all those violators to avoid any mis-happening, which can be happen due to negligent and speedy driving.
During the naka, more than 80 buses and 2 other vehicles were challaned and a compound fine was imposed under various MVD Acts, including permit, violation of vehicle fitness over speeding and other 177 common offences.
Meanwhile, ARTO Samba appealed to people to avoid over speeding on National Highway. She said that no traffic violations will be tolerated and appealed the public to cooperate.
